Our company was founded on January 1st, 1979, when the SI Division of Japan Vacuum Technology (now ULVAC) was separated and became independent.<\/p>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t
1970<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tBegan prototyping and developing mask blanks.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1972<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tBegan the sale of the world first mask blanks.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1973<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tBegan exporting mask blanks to the United States.
(At that time, the company was known as Japan Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd.)<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1979<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tULVAC Coating Corporation was established as an independent entity after the separation of the SI Division of Japan Vacuum Technology (now ULVAC).
The headquarters and factory were moved to the current location in Chichibu-city.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1986<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tMerged with Kyushu Vacuum Metallurgy Co., Ltd. and Inabata & Co., Ltd., establishing IHT Corp. in the United States.
Developed and began selling dry etching equipment for masks.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1988<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tStarted manufacturing chrome film (BM) for FPD (Flat Panel Display) color filters.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
1995<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tStarted manufacturing phase shift mask blanks.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
2001<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tEstablished ULCOAT TAIWAN, Inc.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
2005<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tAcquired Fine Surface Technology Co., Ltd. (glass polishing) as a subsidiary.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
2006<\/th>\n\t\t\t\t\tBegan selling glass MEMS products.<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t
